The Technodiabetes Lab is comprised of two complementary environments located at the Polytechnic City of Innovation: Pathfinder and Asimo laboratories. Both of them have a team with vast experience in artificial pancreas and diabetes technologies research.

The team of researchers at the Technodiabetes Lab mainly works on the following research lines:

  • Mathematical Model for Glucose Regulatory System.
  • Development of single-hormone (insulin infusion) and dual-hormone (insulin+glucagon) glucose control systems.
  • Smart systems for glucose prediction.
  • Hardware/software systems for automatic detection of food intake.
  • Tools for pediatric diabetes education.
