The increase in systems for the treatment and digitization of information in industrial processes has been driven by the demand for the optimization of production processes and the generation of higher quality products.
From this perspective, this line covers the design, analysis and development of information systems based on the interconnection of different industrial components, whether they are robots, IoT nodes, machines or production management software.
At this level of M2M interaction, the architectures that organize these systems, the protocols that support them, and the standardization of components and infrastructures are especially important, with the development of implementations and convergence of reference models being of vital importance.
