The CEF eInvoicing building block supports public administrations in complying with thr eInvoicing Directive 2014/55/EU, in particular thr new European eInvoicing standard (EN).

The Action supports the uptake of the EN compliant EDICOM B2B Cloud Platform by 36 public hospitals (12 from Belgium, 14 from Italy, 9 from Hungary and 1 from Austria). This will allow those hospitals to send and receive electronic invoices compliant with the EN (supported by both syntaxes of EN OASIS UBL2.1 and UN/CEFACT CII).

The Action builds on the results of both previously CEF funded actions 2015-EU-IA-0058 and 2016-EU-IA-0096. The former resulted in the upgrade of the eInvoicing tools of the EDICOM B2B Cloud Platform for complying with the eInvoicing Directive in the healthcare sector. The latter enabled additional entities from the healthcare sector to send and receive EN-compliant eInvoices. This Action will reuse these eInvoicing tools and integrate them with the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems of 36 hospitals, using resources already deployed to reduce costs and amplify the impact around Europe.
