The aim of the ARTEEKO project is to develop a complete EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) robotic manipulator specifically for deformable fabrics with support for tasks in the upholstered furniture sector. The manipulator to be developed includes an independent head that will be attachable to different robotic arms from multiple manufacturers, complemented by a specific artificial vision system to process the deformable geometries of the fabrics.

ARTEEKO Project Successfully Concluded
The ARTEEKO project has successfully concluded after meeting its planned objectives, the result of the collaborative efforts of the participating partners throughout its development.
This collaboration has yielded innovative results in the field of automated handling of deformable textile materials, laying the groundwork for future industrial applications that will help boost the sector’s competitiveness.
The project’s results are currently being protected via a patent application; therefore, technical information regarding the developed solutions cannot be disclosed until this process is complete.
The ARTEEKO partners appreciate the support received during the project’s execution and look forward to sharing further details about the achievements made once the industrial property protection process has concluded.
This project has the participation of companies CFZ Cobots and AyCN, Automática y Control numérico, the Centro Tecnológico del Mueble y la Madera de la Región de Murcia (CETEM) and the Automatics and Industrial Informatics Research Institute, Institute ai2, at the UPV.
