The aim of the ARTEEKO project is to develop a complete EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) robotic manipulator specifically for deformable fabrics with support for tasks in the upholstered furniture sector. The manipulator to be developed includes an independent head that will be attachable to different robotic arms from multiple manufacturers, complemented by a specific artificial vision system to process the deformable geometries of the fabrics.
Expected results:
- Compact robotic manipulator for the specific handling of upholstery fabrics.
- Artificial vision module adapted to volumetric deformable fabrics.
- Advances in fabric clamping technologies for the upholstery and textile industry.
- A plug&play system with a simple and comprehensive user interface.
